Prince鈥檚 extravagant wardrobe up for auction
More than 200 items of memorabilia belonging to the late pop superstar Prince are going to auction this week.
One of the highlights of the sale is a white ruffled shirt worn by Prince during his 1985 American Music Awards performance of the song Purple Rain.
The items are from a French collector who had originally hoped to open a museum but are now being auctioned online by RR Auction of Boston.
Mi-Ling Stone is an ex-girlfriend of the artist and the inspiration behind his 1982 hit, Little Red Corvette. She told Newsday: 鈥淗e was very concerned about the way he looked, I used to have to fight him in the mirror鈥 did try on his jeans and that was a moment because they didn鈥檛 fit, they wouldn鈥檛 go over my rump and he thought that was quite funny.鈥
