The Israel-Gaza war is increasing anti-Jewish rhetoric.

Dr Alexandra Herzog of the American Jewish Committee tells Newsday that antisemitism has reached ''historic levels around the world.'' In the US, she says, ''We have seen a 388% increase of antisemitic incidents in the last month which is completely insane." The number of violent messages sent by white supremacist and right-wing groups mentioning Jews or Israel has also increased by "1000%" says Herzog.

Even before the Hamas attacks on 7 October and Israel鈥檚 bombing and ground operation into Gaza, Dr Herzog had received personal threats and insults. She says people 鈥渃ross the line鈥� by turning anger about Israeli policy and actions into antisemitic rhetoric and threats against Jewish people around the world.
