Slough Town manager: “this club saved my life”
Slough Town player-manager Scott Davies started his career at Reading, but struggled during his career with a gambling addiction that led to him losing over two hundred thousand pounds.
During his twenties, he dropped down through the Championship, League Two into the Southern League Premier Division.
Now he hasn’t put a bet on since 2015, and alongside his work at Slough he is using his experience of addiction to help other athletes who may be struggling with gambling-related issues.
91ȱ Radio Berkshire’s Sarah Walker spoke to Scott about his journey.
