The augmented reality American Football helmet making a difference
Discover the new helmet technology helping deaf and hard of hearing youngsters play college American Football.
The pioneering technology used by Gallaudet University in Washington DC allows the quarterback to receive the play in augmented reality on a digital display located within the helmet鈥檚 visor.
Gallaudet鈥檚 Head Coach Chuck Goldstein tells Sportshour鈥檚 Caroline Barker how the technology works and the impact it can have including helping to "bridge the gap to get closer to a level playing field".
