'The cafe is a lifeline for people facing challenges with mental health'

A new 'Mental Health Cafe' has officially opened in Leicester.

The cafe in Highfields is operated by 'Jamila's Legacy' and provides a space for people from all backgrounds to come and talk about their anxieties. It's one of 10 such cafe's that are to start up across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Neighbourhood 'Mental Health Cafes' are part of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s local support for people who need immediate help with their mental health. The cafes are drop in centres for anyone to come and talk about their mental health – with no appointment needed.
