George Rook has been living with dementia for nearly ten years. You wouldn鈥檛 know it from meeting him. He鈥檚 fluent, funny and describes his life vividly. He leads an active life and is a passionate campaigner for people with dementia. But the illness has affected his speech in all sorts of ways that aren鈥檛 immediately apparent. He tells Caroline Steel how he, and others like him, cope; the tactics he uses to manage and the things that can make communication difficult
