"He just completely lost it and would shout at me, swear at me"
Five men lost their lives to domestic abuse in Northern Ireland last year. That startling figure has been released ahead of the first ever conference here to solely address the issue of male domestic abuse. It’s something that’s rarely discussed, partly because men - who are targeted - often feel ashamed about it. Reporter Helen Jones has been speaking to Barry – not his real name - who was in an abusive relationship for six years.
