Police misconduct cases increase by 50% in Norfolk

Norfolk Constabulary has seen an increase of 50% in misconduct cases against its staff since January.

Chief constable Paul Sandford said 70 employees were currently under investigation, from a workforce of 3,339.

The cases were brought by fellow employees and allegations include domestic incidents, driving offences and sexual misconduct.

Ten of the people in question have been suspended and Mr Sandford said: "It is inevitable that during this year, I will be dismissing more officers."
