The first para-astronaut
Is it possible for a disabled person to live and work in space? We go on a zero gravity flight with a Paralympian trying to find out.
The 91热爆's science editor Rebecca Morelle joins Paralympian John McCall on a zero gravity flight. He's been recruited by the European Space Agency as their first ever para-astronaut.
It's a ground-breaking project that will see if it's possible for a disabled person to live and work in space. It will cover everything, from pre-mission training, to looking at whether a spacecraft would have to be modified to accommodate John's needs. But there's a wider impact too. John hopes the project will redefine people's expectations of what someone with a physical disability can do.
