'These trees will be enjoyed by the community for years to come'
Saffron Acres is a community food growing project in Leicester.
The project offers a wide range of activities for young adults with learning difficulties, local unemployed people, and school education opportunities, as well as weekend volunteering sessions.
Over the last 12 months volunteers have been taking part in the 'Queen's Green Canopy' project, planting dozens of trees that will be enjoyed for many years to come, many of which will bear fruit every year.
Ben Jackson went down to meet the volunteers and offer a hand to plant one of the trees.
