Turkey-Syria earthquakes: 'Even if you move one stone, it could give an extra breath'
Raeed Hassan Al-Mawas is a political science student living in Idlib, north-western Syria, where the recent earthquake has destroyed hundreds of buildings. He has been helping with the rescue and recovery effort by hand.
He left a message on the 91热爆 World Service Facebook page with a plea for lifting equipment, better shelters and temporary accommodation. H says this kind of aid is far more needed than food and water.
"You can鈥檛 sit at home knowing that there are people living under the rubble and your help - even if you just moved a stone - could give them an extra breath," he tells Pick of the World.
