Police could be allowed to shut down protests before they cause serious disruption

Under new government plans, the police will have the right to stop a protest before they can cause serious disruption.

Today's Mishal Husain spoke to Conservative MP and former Justice Secretary Robert Buckland, along with Labour peer and former director of the civil liberties organisation Liberty Baroness Chakrabarti about the potential damage to protest rights and whether these powers are proportional to the problem.
