Sarah de Lagarde was commuting home on the London Underground in September when she slipped through the gap between the platform edge and the train at a north London station. She was run over by two Tube trains, losing her right leg and arm as a result. Sarah spent two months in hospital before being discharged on 1 December.

Sarah joined Anita Rani on 91热爆 Radio 4鈥檚 Woman鈥檚 Hour to share her extraordinary story of survival and recovery. She told Anita that she wants to remind people that we鈥檙e all lucky to be alive and to remember how quickly things can change.

In a statement, Transport for London said: 鈥淥ur thoughts are with Sarah de Lagarde and her family following the devastating incident at High Barnet station on 30 September. It must have been a truly terrifying experience and we have offered her our full support through the Sarah Hope Line.听

鈥淪afety remains a top priority and we continually strive to ensure that our customers are safe when travelling on our network. TfL has reported the accident to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) and is undertaking an extensive internal investigation.鈥�
