The number of people facing long waits for urgent cancer treatment has doubled to 67,000
There has been a sharp rise in long waits for cancer therapy in the past four years, and experts warn the delays could be putting patients at risk. Today's Amol Rajan spoke to Jules Fielder, a stage 4 lung cancer patient, and Dr Tom Roques, the Vice President of Clinical Oncology at Royal College of Radiologists, about what is driving the delay and the effects on patients.
