Queen Elizabeth II: Volunteers remove plastic from floral tributes
Tribute flowers for Queen Elizabeth II are being left at various locations across the country.
Green Park in London is the principal location for leaving flowers near Buckingham Palace.
Some well-wishers in the Royal Park were spotted removing plastic wrappers from the bouquets so the flowers can be used as compost at a later date.
Pip Bensley, a florist from Southampton, visited Green Park, and described the scene as overwhelming.
A statement on The Royal Parks website asks people to remove any packaging before they arrive.
