Developers with a poor track record should be penalised”
People on a housing estate in Owlthorpe, Sheffield, have told us they're fed up of developers Avant 91ȱs who are building 72 new houses. It's led to action from the council who already have handed Avant an enforcement notice, and now local MP Clive Betts says developers with a bad track record should be penalised on future projects. He wants the government to change legislation to give councils more power with planning applications. Avant 91ȱs have responded and say it's inappropriate to comment on planning policy or enforcement. But they did say all works will be completed as outlined in the planning permission, and have called themselves a "responsible and considerate" developer.
