The United Nations' special rapporteur for human rights in Afghanistan, Richard Bennett, has said the Taliban government's restrictions on women are aimed at making them "invisible" in Afghan society.

Since the Taliban took back power last year, teenage girls have been shut out of secondary schools, while women have been banned from some government jobs, barred from travelling alone, and ordered to cover up - fully - in public.

Mr Bennett has just returned from Afghanistan, after an eleven-day visit - his first since the position was created. He's been speaking to Weekend's Paul Henley.
