Linda Moylan, The Four Tops' Duke Fakir, Queer Britain

Singer Linda Moylan, Abdul 'Duke' Fakir on his memoir, LGBTQ+ museum Queer Britain

London singer-songwriter Linda Moylan - the last artist to have recorded with folk legend Julie Felix - has written a song inspired by her mother's mental health. ‘Ordinary Merchants’ is the lead single lifted from her from new album ‘The Merchant’. Linda says as a child growing up in this environment her imagination became a sanctuary and a safe place. Like many young carers her creativity became a coping mechanism and release from that responsibility. Linda's album 'The Merchant' is out now.
Spanning over decades, 'I'll Be There: My Life With The Four Tops' is Abdul ‘Duke’ Fakir's memoir, the group's last surviving member. Amidst a backdrop of Detroit, the book features revealing anecdotes from the group’s formation, their early days as backup singers for the likes of Jackie Wilson, and their years working with Berry Gordy at the legendary Motown Records.
Queer Britain is the UK’s first national LGBTQ+ museum. Robert is joined by the museum's Co-Founder and Director, Joseph Galliano. It will shine a light on the queer communities rich and complex histories becoming be an essential place for all, regardless of sexuality or gender identity, to discover the rich and diverse history and culture of LGBTQ+ people throughout the UK and beyond.
