Could Bongalo take on Airbnb in Africa?
In Rwanda, a homegrown travel startup is taking on the American online rental firm, Airbnb.
The hospitality platform Bongalo was founded in Cameroon and lists properties in Rwanda and Cameroon. Google is pouring more than $300,000 dollars of equity-free funding into the business, and the platform plans to launch in four other African countries in 2022, and twenty countries within the next five years.
So could Bongalo become Africa鈥檚 answer to Airbnb?
