Shropshire acute hospitals declare "internal critical incident"
Trust Chief Operating Officer Nigel Lee explains the pressure the Princess Royal and Royal Shrewsbury hospitals are under during Friday's incident. A combination of high demand and an inability to discharge patients to social care led to clinics being cancelled and patients with minor complaints being urged to stay away from A&E.
