Dorset footpath re-opened after eighty year old resident campaigned for more than a decade
A popular rural footpath on the outskirts of Weymouth has been re-opened after a twelve year campaign by an 80 year old resident.
The path in Preston leads to fields with spectacular views of South Dorset.
But in 2009, the landowner blocked access, claiming there was too much dog fouling.
A lengthy dispute was settled late last year when the Secretary of State decided that a right of way should be re-established and that the path must be re-opened.
91热爆 Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman went to meet David McCune, the pensioner who refused to give up.
