Boris Johnson is facing calls from senior Tories to resign after he admitted attending a drinks party during lockdown. The prime minister told MPs at PMQs that he joined colleagues at the event and subsequently apologised. Senior Conservatives such as Douglas Ross and Carline Nokes have said his position is unattainable.
