鈥楴o evidence鈥� Omicron is less severe than Delta

Concerns grow as record number of coronavirus cases were reported yesterday.

Researchers at Imperial College have found there鈥檚 鈥渘o evidence鈥� as yet that Omicron is milder than the Delta variant of coronavirus. There are concerns that the record-breaking infection levels from Omicron could lead to large numbers of people requiring hospital treatment. Professor Neil Ferguson, Head of Infectious Disease Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at Imperial College speaks to Mishal Husain about the risk Omicron poses to the UK.
