Sudan coup: Government adviser in hiding

The United Nations Security Council is holding an urgent meeting later today following the military coup in Sudan.
At least seven people have been killed and approximately one-hundred-and-forty injured during protests where soldiers fired on crowds who opposed the dissolution of the civilian government. The coup has been condemned around the world and the US has halted $700m in aid, intended to help Sudan transition to full democracy.
Abdelmonim Eljak was adviser to the Minister of Cabinet Affairs but he's now in hiding to avoid arrest.
