Care sector faces staffing crisis
The shortages we've been hearing about in the fuel, farming and energy markets are now hitting the care sector.
Many workers have left care after the coronavirus crisis and Brexit means the sector can’t rely on the EU labour market.
Other sectors are also offering better rates of pay which care says it cannot compete with.
One care home provider tells Newsnight it has over 500 vacancies to fill.
