Coventry Bling Road
Coventry artists Mary Courtney and Karen Johnson have spent three months creating the wall art installation, inspired by their love for Coventry and its iconic ring road. A call out to women in the area requesting donations of unwanted jewellery has led them to creating a colourful and sparkly interpretation of the city that reflects its history, its people and their stories.
Things included are Coventry's local areas and parks, the river Sherbourne and each of the ring road junctions themed by culture and history. The artwork is on display at the LTB Showrooms in Coventry, a new gallery in the city centre above the Litten Tree pub. It can be seen at the weekends when open.
