University of Cambridge announces largest UK study of autism
10,000 autistic people are being recruited to take part in the study.
The world-leading Autism Research Centre (ARC), at the University of Cambridge, is recruiting 10,000 autistic people as part of a new study which is the largest of its kind in the UK. The Spectrum 10K project aims to improve the understanding of how biological and environmental factors impact autistic people.
Today's Mishal Husain speaks to Professor Sir Simon Baron-Cohen, director of the Autism Research Centre at the University of Cambridge who will lead the Spectrum 10K study, as well as Jodie Isitt, mother of three children with autism who was also diagnosed with it last year.
