President Ashraf Ghani has fled the country as hundreds of Afghans attempt to leave.
The Taliban have seized control of Afghanistan and declared that the war in the country is over, after their forces swept into the capital, Kabul. President Ashraf Ghani has fled the country. Hundreds of Afghans have been trying to leave.
Sarah Smith spoke to former Afghan MP Elay Ershad, who says she won't be one of these people, and then Lord Sedwill, former UK National Security Advisor, who has long experience in Afghanistan serving as the UK's ambassador there and then as the NATO special representative to Afghanistan.
Following that, Justin Webb asked the UK's Defence Secretary Ben Wallace why the swiftness of the Taliban's victory has come as such a surprise.
