Rio Paralympics ‘taught me success and failure is not based on an accolade’
In 2008, a routine medical procedure left Mallory Weggemann paralysed from the waist down, and in 2014 a devastating fall severely damaged her left arm.
The 32-year-old Paralympic gold medallist told Sportshour’s Caroline Barker about the lessons she learned at the 2016 Rio Games, how she can apply those at Tokyo 2020, and how she was utterly determined to walk down the aisle at her wedding.
