A new work by the artist will be exhibited on the west front of the cathedral.

The slightly larger than life iron sculpture will stand in an empty niche alongside angels, kings and bishops.

Sir Antony Gormley says it 鈥渁ttempts to invoke the feeling of being isolated and exposed on this corner of a Gothic masterpiece.鈥�
