Oasis were, along with Britpop rivals Blur, probably the biggest artists of the 1990s. Released in February 1996, it was the second of the band's singles to get to Number one and was also a hit in America. Folk singer Sharon Garner records at home in her house near to the wilds of Spurn Point and frequently uses the landscapes as inspiration for her music. She never usually records cover versions so, she says it was 'a real treat' to be asked to help celebrate Radio Humberside's 50th birthday.
