Uganda elections: Bobi Wine remains under house arrest

Uganda is now in its fifth day of an internet blackout imposed by the government since the day before last week's presidential election. The vote was won by the long-standing incumbent, Yoweri Museveni.

His main rival, the pop star Bobi Wine has cried foul over the election result while President Museveni said the election was the cleanest ever.

Bobi Wine has been under house arrest since the election. Joel Senyonyi is the spokesperson for his National Unity Platform party.

"It's like we are in a war situation... I don't know if the state wants Bobi Wine and his wife to die of hunger."
