The One on Copenhagen 2021
We hear from two of people bringing EuroGames to Scandanavia as part of World Pride.
This August, Copenhagen and Malmo will host one of the year’s most significant LGBTQ+ events in the form of Copenhagen 2021.
It’s a celebration of arts, culture, LGBTQ+ history and sport – with both World Pride and EuroGames a key part of the event.
And to mark the countdown to the extravaganza, we’re joined by two of the people who are helping to make it happen.
Katja Moesgaard is the chair of Copenhagen 2021, and Christian Bigom is the chair of ‘Pan Idræt’ – Copenhagen’s largest inclusive sports organisation.
This is a great conversation that squeezes a lot of things into it – from Katja’s work with the Danish FA to Christian’s passion for inclusivity; as well as the planning that’s gone into EuroGames; how they plan to adapt it as necessary in response to COVID; how you can get involved; and what it means for Scandinavia to host such a prestigious event.
It’s a lovely chat with two great representatives of inclusive sport in Europe, and it’s great to shine a light on what should be a top event this summer.
