‘World’s youngest pilot’ flies glider solo on 14th birthday
Alex Westgate isn't old enough to drive a car, but is allowed to fly a glider plane solo.
Which is what he did on Wednesday 9 December, on his 14th birthday at the Gliding Centre, at Husbands Bosworth Airfield.
Alex, his dad Guy Westgate and Rob Barsby, who are both airshow pilots, spoke to 91Èȱ¬ Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter.
