Stop and search: ‘Anger can make the situation worse’
Leon Lynch had been training to be a barrister for two years when he says he was stopped and searched by police.
Leon said the officers originally stopped him for possession of a firearm, which he says he didn’t have. Leon claimed he was then arrested for carrying items used in a burglary.
Speaking to 91ȱ Radio 5 Live, Leon said he remained calm despite the stress of the situation.
“When I was 14, and I was first stopped and searched, I was fearful,” he said. “As it continued to happen, I became angry but I quickly learned that anger can make the situation worse.”
