The former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, says that the Football Association and the Premier League must work together to help smaller clubs survive the pandemic. Proposals led by Liverpool and Manchester United to radically reform the structure of English football have been criticised by the Premier League and the government -- despite including the promise of greater financial support for Football League clubs. Speaking to Nick Robinson, Arsene Wenger said ministers could need to intervene if the top teams failed to agree a plan: 鈥淏ig Premier Leagues are owned now by billionaires from other countries and England has lost control of its own game. The whole situation maybe needs politics involved at the highest level, to sort it out.鈥�
