Mum's world shrinks again as she struggles to get up from the dining room table
Mum's condition has been stable for two months since her seizure, but she's now struggling to get up from the dining room table where she spends a short time each morning. Her brain finds it hard to translate the request 'Stand up, please' into action. Andrew, the carers and the occupational therapist therefore have to make the difficult decision to take it out of the equation. Most of Mum's life will now be divided behind the hospital style bed where she sleeps and her reclining seat downstairs, what Andrew calls 'the ejector seat'.
