Creating cheaper ways for migrants to send money home
Millions rely on money sent home by migrant workers, known as a remittance – but money transfer services are often costly. While the coronavirus pandemic limits the ability of some migrants to work, could digital platforms provide a cheaper solution? Reporters Benjamin Breitegger and Katharina Kropshofer investigate.
