Cheddar Reservoir will be shut to all visitors today.

Bristol Water have decided to close the lake during periods of hot weather due to a spike in anti-social behaviour.

It comes after numerous reports of people swimming in the water, consuming alcohol and littering near to the water.

In a statement they said they’d not made this decision lightly and done it to ‘protect lives’.
