'Bring me a gun and I'll give you a trumpet, no questions asked'
Over the last few months, the US has experienced a surge in gun crime.
The recent killing of a nine-year-old boy in the city of New Orleans has prompted jazz musician Shamarr Allen to mobilize a remarkable response to the tragedy.
He is offering young people trumpets in exchange for guns. Mr. Allen told Newsday's James Copnall more about the project.
