Kate Bingham, Chair of the UK Vaccine Taskforce, on hopes for a COVID-19 vaccine
The chair of the UK's Vaccine Taskforce, Kate Bingham, told Justin Webb: "What we are doing is identifying the most promising vaccines across the different categories of vaccine so that we can be sure that we do have a vaccine in case one of those actually proves to be both safe and effective." She was speaking as it was announced the government has signed deals for 90 million doses of promising coronavirus vaccines that are being developed. She went on to say, "It's unlikely to be a single vaccine for everybody. We may well need different vaccines for different groups of people".
