Black Lives Matter protests: Should controversial statues be removed?
The Black Lives Matter protests started in the United States, in the wake of George Floyd鈥檚 death at the hands of police. More than a fortnight later, the anger continues to rage - not just in the US but around the globe.
It has caused many to confront not just existing racial tensions but also question the past. But should our focus be on removing symbols of historic injustice or preserving history, no matter how controversial or uncomfortable?
We were joined by Scotland鈥檚 first black Professor, Sir Geoff Palmer and Historian Neil Oliver to discuss the removal of controversial statues and the broader anti-racism protests.
