V铆kingur 脫lafsson: Front Row鈥檚 Lockdown Artist in Residence
At the end of March, as the UK entered lockdown and all our music venues closed, Icelandic pianist V铆kingur 脫lafsson agreed to become our Artist in Residence, performing live each week on the grand piano at the empty Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik. Over eleven weeks V铆kingur has treated us to a range of music, from Bach to Philip Glass, each week giving us his unique insight into the piece. This is part of the 91热爆鈥檚 Culture in Quarantine initiative, celebrating creativity during lockdown. Thanks to the Harpa Concert Hall and the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service for making these broadcasts possible.
