Episode 4
The MUAs face their boldest assignment yet as they are booked for a high-fashion editorial with Attitude magazine, and guest judge Michelle Visage cranks up the pressure.
The six remaining MUAs are set their boldest assignment yet as they are thrown into the glossy world of fashion editorials and booked on a job for UK鈥檚 best-selling gay magazine, Attitude. They work for guest judge and leading make-up artist Andrew Gallimore, whose make-up style is renowned for using materials that aren鈥檛 strictly cosmetic. Each MUA is assigned a male model and a different fashion trend that their make-up needs to work with, and Attitude magazine鈥檚 brief is to deliver big, bold, high-fashion looks. One MUA gets creative and reaches for the ping pong balls, whilst another chooses to be adventurous, creating a look with denim and studs. The stakes are high as only one look is chosen for the editorial鈥檚 lead image, and if the make-up isn't good enough, the magazine will not include it.
The next day in Glow Up HQ sees the arrival of a surprise guest judge - RuPaul鈥檚 Drag Race's very own Michelle Visage. Known for her no-nonsense judging, Michelle cranks up the pressure as the MUAs are tasked with creating a look inspired by a club culture. The MUAs produce looks that rely on special effects to create a cyber-goth, perfectly placed and blended bald caps, realistic wounds and dripping blood.
Following judging, two MUAs head into the face-off where, against the clock, they are tasked with blending three colours to creates a temple drape. One MUA packs up their kit and leaves the competition.
