Philanthropist Melinda Gates has told 91热爆 Radio 5 Live it makes 鈥渮ero sense鈥� for President Trump to defund the World Health Organisation during the coronavirus crisis.

Speaking to Emma Barnett, Melinda Gates, of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, said the WHO is 鈥渆xactly the organisation to deal with a pandemic鈥�.

The foundation is the the second-largest funder of the WHO.

Today they have pledged a further $150m (拢120m) to fight Covid-19.
