Gender Recognition Act: Rhona's story
The Scottish government is proposing to make it easier, legally, to change gender. Supporters say the plans are important, to ensure transgender people are treated with dignity. In an attempt to give nuance and context to an issue that has become increasingly polarised, we have opted to allow individuals to tell their own stories, for you to consider and make up your own mind.
This is one of four testimonies given to The Nine by those impacted by the proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act in Scotland. You can find the other three videos on our programme page.
