If you stop smoking, lungs can repair themselves.

Findings published in the British scientific journal Nature suggest the lungs have an almost magical ability to repair the genetic damage caused by smoking, but only if you quit. But UK researchers have now found out that the few healthy cells that escape damage can help the lungs recover. One of the lead authors, Dr Peter Campbell, spoke to 91热爆 Newsday.
