Ebony-Jewel Rainford-Brent is a World Cup Winning Cricketer, TV and Radio Broadcaster, Director of Women’s Cricket at Surrey County Cricket Club and Motivational Speaker.
Ebony has broken down many barriers in her career including becoming the first Black Woman to play for the England Women’s Cricket team and went on to win the World Cup, World T20 and Ashes in 2009.
Since retiring she has gone onto a multifaceted career including broadcast media where she became one of the first female pundits on men’s international cricket in the 60 year history of the 91Èȱ¬â€™s flagship Test Match Special programme, and now continues to work for 91Èȱ¬ and Sky.
Alongside she became the first Director of Women’s Cricket at Surrey County Cricket Club, in 2016 joined the Board and in 2018 her side were crowned champions of the Kia Super League. In 2019 Ebony was been recognised by the University College London as one of the twelve exceptional women over the last 100 years, in a project called ‘Female Firsts’ for women who were considered progressive and pioneering in their fields.
Ebony’s passion for personal development led her train as a Master Practitioner of NLP and now uses Performance Psychology and her experience from elite sport to the boardroom to deliver motivational talks to inspire people to tap into their potential and achieve success. Ebony also interviews high performers in her podcast called ‘The Art of Success’.
