December election: campaigning through the cold
As each party prepares to for the general election, they will each have a common adversary in the weather.
This is the first December election in almost a century and it's feared cold, dark nights will make campaigning unpleasant and could keep voters indoors.
Our chief news correspondent, James Cook, has been in Aberdeenshire to test the temperature and assess the impact it might have on campaigning efforts.
