Make-up artist loving life at leading theatrical special effects company
"It's amazing to be part of the process that creates these incredible results".
Gigi Rainsbury from Bournemouth joined the special effects company, The Twins FX, in Wareham, Dorset as a trainee four months ago.
In a short space of time, the 22 year old has already been involved in a broad range of activity including painting, fibre-glassing and resin mould work. However, most current projects remain a closely guarded secret in order to retain the element of surprise for pantomine audiences across the United Kingdom.
Gigi told 91热爆 Radio Solent :"It's never a boring day, every day is completely different, it's great fun."
The Dorset-based visual special effects firm is described as the leading company operating in the field of theatrical special effects, illusions and animatronics. Previous creations have included soaring airborne flying dragons, a mighty 8 metre tall gorilla, the world's largest pantomine giant, floating magic carpets and three sets of flying horses pulling Cinderella's sparkling crystal coaches.
Gigi (Myra Diana) Rainsbury is also a talented make-up artist, having studied 'Make-Up and Prosthetics for Theatre and Film' at Arts University Bournemouth. Her magical and fantastical facial designs have attracted 25,000 followers on Instagram.
